The Egyptian Opera House is set to host an extraordinary celebration titled "Ali Ahmed Bakathir – 115 Years of Influence", organized by Hadramout for Culture and "Di for Culture & Media" on December 22 🎭. The event honors the legacy of the late renowned writer and will gather prominent cultural and artistic figures.

A highlight of the celebration is the theatrical performance "Bakathir Museum", directed by Ahmed Fouad 🎬, featuring 36 artists from the Center for Creativity, the Academy of Arts, and Hadramout. The play presents a selection of Bakathir’s works across novels, theater, and cinema, reimagined with a modern perspective. It was meticulously prepared over the past three months to offer a rich and immersive experience ✨📖.

Director Ahmed Fouad revealed, "This project is different from my previous works, as I combined Bakathir’s plays and films such as Al-Shaymaa and Islamiha carefully to accurately reflect his artistic legacy. We hope this will be a rich experience for theater lovers and fans of Bakathir’s works."

The celebration will also honor stars who contributed to Bakathir’s artistic journey, including Lobna Abdel Aziz, Samira Ahmed, Ahmed Mazhar, Hussein Riad, and Mohamed Awad 🌟.

Dr. Abdullah Bankhar, founding board member and chairman of the board of trustees at Hadramout for Culture, stated: "This celebration represents a moment of loyalty and tribute to a man who combined Hadrami roots with Egyptian identity, creativity, and intellectual achievement. His works serve as a cultural bridge connecting Arab-Islamic authenticity with contemporary intellectual challenges."
