Artist Hegazy Metqal appeared on Sira Ibrahim's show on TEN Channel in a candid interview, where he opened up about his career beginnings and personal life. Metqal revealed that his true breakthrough in the music industry came through his participation in "Star Maker," a pivotal moment that helped shape his early career and put him on the map in the Egyptian music scene.

He explained that "Star Maker" marked an important transitional phase in his life, one that had a far greater impact than he had expected. The program provided him with an early level of fame and a lasting artistic presence. He highlighted the significant role of Tarek Noor in the success of the show, both in terms of its concept and execution, pointing out how the team worked tirelessly to create fresh and engaging content for the audience.

Hegazy also shared the humorous and satirical nature of the song he performed during the show, which poked fun at the judges, making the experience unique and unconventional. Although he was eliminated from the competition, Hegazy stressed that the decision did not discourage him but instead fueled his determination to continue and prove himself.

Reflecting on the early difficulties of his career, Metqal emphasized the crucial role that his family played in supporting him. He mentioned how challenging it was to work in the wedding music industry, one of the most demanding fields in music, requiring considerable effort and responsibility to earn the trust of the audience.

Regarding his ambitions, Hegazy shared that his goal was never about fame but rather proving himself, especially to his father. He underscored that the road to success in the arts is filled with challenges, and that every achievement is the result of hard work and perseverance.

He also spoke about his children, expressing his wish for them to follow in his artistic footsteps but also respecting their individual interests and choices. Hegazy mentioned his regret over not learning to play the rababah in his youth, something he is now trying to teach his children.

In a segment of personal questions, Hegazy revealed the emotional toll that fame can take. Despite the pressures and loss of privacy, he shared that he still experiences stage fright before performing, which disappears as soon as he starts singing. He explained that music has been his lifeline, helping him express his emotions and cope with life's challenges.

Concluding his interview, Hegazy emphasized his self-confidence and belief in his artistic abilities, noting that faith in oneself was one of the main reasons behind his continued success in the music industry.
