Writer Hussein Mustafa Moharram discussed preparations for the upcoming series “Haqq Dayaa”, set to air in Ramadan 2026. The series was unanimously chosen by the reading committee to mark the first project of the returning Egyptian TV Production Sector after a 10-year hiatus, a milestone that Moharram described as a great honor for the team.
Regarding the recent screenplay challenges in Egyptian drama, Moharram emphasized the importance of specialized screenwriters and criticized workshops that focus on visually appealing individual scenes at the expense of the overall series quality, affecting the standard of drama productions.
Hussein Mustafa Moharram also noted that his late father left three unproduced series, expressing hope that they will eventually see the light due to their significant value. He clarified his stance on sequels, preferring to focus on the original work unless sequels are planned from the beginning.
The start of filming for “Haqq Dayaa” featured a celebratory event attended by production leaders Magdy Lashin, Abeer Al-Qadi, Medhat Younis, alongside the cast Ahmed Salah Hosny, Malak Qoura, Nesreen Amin, Lucy, Mohsen Mohieddin, Ashraf Talba, Nedal El-Shafie, Abeer Mounir, Marwa El-Azly, Medhat Teekha, and Rana Samaha, and director Mohamed Abdelkhalek.
