In a scene filled with tears and heartbreak, the body of the late singer Diyaa Ezz El-Din arrived at the Sayyida Nafisa Mosque, where the funeral prayer was held amid deep sorrow felt by his family, friends, and many fans who gathered to bid him their final farewell.
Heavy hearts, pale faces, and a solemn silence seemed to rise above all other sounds.

This farewell was anything but ordinary. It was a mix of shock and disbelief, especially since his departure came so suddenly—during what appeared to be a routine medical procedure, a heart catheterization. Yet the unseen details of his final moments remain the subject of lingering questions with no clear answers.
Those who attended the funeral spoke of his kind heart, calm demeanor, and warm voice—one that carried a strange longing, as if fate had woven a prophecy of early departure into his songs.

Despite his short artistic journey, the late artist managed to leave an emotional imprint on his audience. His songs were imbued with human tenderness and emotion, setting him apart and earning him a special place in the hearts of listeners who heard him with feeling before sound.

One of his close friends posted on Facebook:
"The passing of my brother and dear friend Diyaa Ezz El-Din during a heart catheterization… There is no power and no strength except through God… To God we belong and to Him we return."
He continued with heart-wrenching words:
"He was the finest of friends and brothers... May God grant us all a good ending."

His death reopened a fresh wound in the memory of the music scene, which has recently said goodbye to several popular singers under similar circumstances. Most notably, artist Ahmed Amer, who also passed away suddenly due to a heart attack, and was mourned with heartfelt words by singer Reda El Bahrawy, who said:
"My brother Ahmed Amer has passed away… Truly, to God we belong and to Him we return."
