When Love Turns into Friendship: Yasmina Al-Abed Enters Yusuf Raafat's Friend Zone in the Midterm
The third episode of "Mid Term" highlighted an emotional struggle between Yasmina El Abd and Youssef Raafat, as Yasmina entered the friend zone and planned to uncover her friends’ true intentions.
The third episode of the series "Mid Term" marked a turning point for the characters, with Tia, played by Yasmina El Abd, feeling jealous of her friend Adham, portrayed by Youssef Raafat. Adham did not reciprocate her feelings and instead kept her in his close circle of friends, leaving Yasmina shocked and prompting her to rethink her approach.
Meanwhile, Tia collaborated with her friend Naomi to devise a clever plan to uncover the true intentions of the people in their group.
"Mid Term" represents Yasmina El Abd’s first lead drama role, starring alongside Youssef Raafat, Gala Hesham, Ziad Zaza, and Donia Wael. The series was written by Mariam El Bagoury and Mohamed Sadiq, with script and dialogue by Warsha Barah, and directed by Mariam El Bagoury.
Outside the series, Yasmina recently appeared in the opening ceremony of the Grand Egyptian Museum, earning widespread praise for her performance. She was also appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the “Integrated Europe Water and Food Security Team” initiative to promote awareness of water issues.
Additionally, Yasmina continues filming the movie "Kan Yama Kan" with Nour El Noubawy, and the series "Ibn El Nasaba," which features a cast of leading actors. The story revolves around lawyer Rania, whose life turns upside down after her husband disappears, leading her to become a strong woman seeking revenge and reclaiming her life, directed by Ahmed Abdel Wahab.
Yasmina has also earned multiple accolades, including a special mention for Best Actress for the film "Ela Rima" at the Port Said Film Festival, Best Young Actress for her role in "Lam Shamsia," recognition at the Creative Summit, and Best Young Actress at the Dear Guest Audience Awards.
