Unveiling the Secret of Coca-Cola After a Century: Ingredients Revealed
A scientist claims to have decoded Coca-Cola’s 139-year-old secret recipe, revealing the natural ingredients and aromatic oils behind its unique taste.
Coca-Cola’s secret formula remained hidden for over 139 years. Scientist Jack Armstrong announced he managed to uncover the legendary recipe. According to his experiments, the drink contains over 99% sugar, while the remaining natural ingredients, including a mix of aromatic oils and tannins, create its distinctive flavor.
Key Ingredients
Armstrong replaced coca leaves with a blend of aromatic oils such as lemon, cinnamon, nutmeg, orange, and other essential oils that define the taste. Soluble tannin powder was added to provide the astringent flavor characteristic of Coca-Cola.
Final Recipe
Tannins are mixed with water, caramel coloring, vinegar, glycerin, sugar, vanilla extract, and phosphoric acid. Aromatic oils are then added to the solution before carbonation. According to Armstrong and taste testers, the final product closely matches the authentic flavor.
Safety Notes
Armstrong warns that some chemical components can be irritating or toxic if not properly diluted, so protective equipment is recommended when handling these ingredients.
