The competent authorities have decided to detain businessman Amir El Helaly, widely known as the “Car Scam Broker,” pending further investigations and legal procedures following his extradition to Egypt.

El Helaly was transferred to a police station in New Cairo after being arrested abroad and returned to the country to face multiple criminal cases related to fraud and illegal money collection.

Investigations revealed that the defendant had been evading justice for years while facing more than 100 court rulings involving deception, financial fraud, and the unlawful seizure of clients’ funds under the pretext of investing in imported cars.

International security agencies managed to locate and arrest him in Dubai before coordinating his return to Egypt for prosecution.

According to authorities, El Helaly collected massive sums of money from citizens by promising fast profits from car trading schemes, before disappearing and leaving thousands of victims behind.

He now faces numerous prison sentences totaling hundreds of years, along with heavy fines and legal obligations to return victims’ funds.

Legal procedures are ongoing to ensure accountability for all charges brought against him.
