In his lawsuit, the husband stated that he filed a marital disobedience (nushuz) case against his wife, accusing her of fraud, deception, and submitting documents that he claims enabled her to receive financial payments to which she was not entitled.

He added that his total losses exceeded EGP 500,000, in addition to what he described as financial and emotional damages resulting from the ongoing legal dispute.

Mutual Lawsuits Between the Spouses

The husband claimed that his wife left the marital home and prevented him from seeing their two children, while also rejecting all attempts at an amicable settlement.

He further stated that she filed imprisonment enforcement cases against him to recover unpaid alimony arrears, in addition to a lawsuit alleging the unlawful disposal of marital property. He, in turn, filed several lawsuits seeking to protect his own legal rights, claiming that he had also been subjected to defamation and assault.

Wife Maintains Her Legal Claims

On the other hand, the wife submitted documents to the court asserting that the husband had failed to provide financial support for her and their children for a period of 12 months.

Her legal defense confirmed that she remains committed to all of the legal claims she has filed, arguing that they are rights guaranteed under the law.
