The competent court decided to refer the papers of six defendants accused of assaulting children at Seeds International School to Egypt’s Grand Mufti to obtain the religious opinion regarding the death penalty, as part of the legal procedures before issuing the final ruling.
The decision followed a forensic medical report that found human cells belonging to three of the defendants on the clothing of some of the child victims, strengthening the prosecution’s case against the seven accused individuals under investigation.
Upon receiving the forensic report dated December 1, 2025, the defendants were referred to the competent prosecution, which completed the investigations and transferred the case to the court that issued the referral decision.
The incident involves seven workers at Seeds International School in El Salam district, who were accused of assaulting several kindergarten “KG2” pupils, aged around five years. The suspects were arrested and charged with harassment and sexual assault.
The court is expected to set a later session to issue the final verdict after receiving the Grand Mufti’s opinion.
