Al-Ahly Issues Its First Official Response to Karim Fouad’s Injury in the Arab Cup
Kareem Fouad undergoes detailed examinations and intensive treatment after a serious knee injury, with full coordination between Al Ahly and the national team.
Kareem Fouad, Al Ahly and Egypt national team player participating in the Arab Cup, suffered a severe injury during national team training, involving tears in the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and medial collateral ligament (MCL) of his right knee.
Dr. Ahmed Gaballah, Al Ahly’s first team doctor, stated that the injury requires an intensive treatment program lasting approximately four to six weeks, based on X-ray and medical assessments conducted in coordination with Sidra Hospital.
He noted that continuous communication between Al Ahly’s technical staff and the national team is maintained to monitor the player’s condition closely, ensuring the rehabilitation program is applied accurately and according to medical recommendations, with a gradual plan for the player’s safe return to the field.
Dr. Gaballah added that Fouad will miss upcoming national team matches in the Arab Cup due to his injury, emphasizing that ongoing coordination aims to prevent complications and restore him to full fitness before returning to official Al Ahly matches.
