Ali Farag Bids Farewell to Squash with a Moving Message of Support for Palestine
Ali Farag announces his retirement from squash and sends a humanitarian message of support for Palestine.

Ali Farag, four-time world champion, Egyptian national team player, and member of Wadi Degla Club, officially announced his retirement from squash at the age of 33, after a career full of achievements and titles that placed him among the best players in the world.
In a video he posted on his official accounts, Farag said:
"With a full heart and a calm mind, I announce my immediate retirement from the sport that has been my passion and identity throughout my life. I have achieved everything I dreamed of during my journey, but now I am a husband and father of two little girls, and balancing my family and sports life has become difficult."
He added, "I had hoped to participate in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics, but the timing of retirement is the best for me. I’m not just saying goodbye to the sport; I’m saying goodbye to a whole life that shaped my personality and gave me so much, including meeting my wife thanks to squash."
Farag expressed great pride in representing Egypt:
"I was not only representing my country as a player but as a human being carrying the pride of belonging. This gave every match a special meaning and a sense of responsibility."
He thanked everyone who supported him throughout his journey, especially his family and his wife, whom he described as "my support and greatest strength," in addition to his coach Karim Darwish.
Farag concluded his message with a sincere humanitarian statement:
"My heart goes out to everyone suffering, and especially to our people in Palestine who are going through difficult times. I wish them peace, dignity, and the free life they deserve. Solidarity with every person in need of support is our duty, and we must all work towards a more just and humane world."
