On this day, October 17, 1982, Al Ahly SC produced one of its most memorable performances, defeating El Olympi 6–0 at Alexandria Stadium, in a spectacular display of attacking football ❤️⚽.

Zakaria Nasif “Zico” scored a brilliant hat-trick, Fawzi Skouti added two goals, and Mokhtar Mokhtar sealed the victory with the sixth. Veteran defender Mostafa Younes missed a penalty in the first half, which could have made the scoreline even heavier.

The game also witnessed a landmark moment  the debut of Osama Arabi, who came on as a substitute for Mokhtar Mokhtar, beginning a remarkable 17-year journey with the Red Devils. 🏆🔥

During his illustrious career, Arabi won 28 titles and played around 400 matches for Al Ahly — an extraordinary record that earned him the nickname “The Unsung Hero”, thanks to his consistency and leadership despite scoring only 12 goals.

After retirement, Arabi joined Al Ahly’s coaching staff in the 2001/2002 season alongside Manuel José, Mokhtar Mokhtar, and Hossam El-Badry, contributing to the club’s triumphs in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Super Cup.

He later managed El Entag El Harby and served as an assistant coach for Egypt’s Olympic team before taking charge of several clubs in the Egyptian Premier League. 🙌
