Tharwat Sweilem confirms that the second phase draw of the Premier League will include all clubs and will accommodate Egypt national team’s World Cup preparations.
Tharwat Sweilem, board member of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, confirmed that the second phase draw of the Premier League will be held with representatives from all clubs, while taking into account the needs of the national team ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
Sweilem explained in a radio interview that coach Hossam Hassan requested rest periods for players, and the association will honor these requests when scheduling matches for the second phase.
He added that the overall structure of this season’s league is better than previous years, despite the impact of the Africa Cup of Nations on the schedule. He also expressed his respect for experienced coaches like Helmy Tolan, emphasizing that the current focus is on supporting the national team in major competitions.
The second phase draw is expected to take place at the end of March, with no official end date for the league set yet.
