Zamalek Club sent an official letter to the Egyptian Football Association requesting the postponement of its match against Ceramica Cleopatra, scheduled for February 17 in the round of 16 of the Egypt Cup.
The request comes due to the lack of fairness, as Zamalek is set to play six matches in 15 days, while Ceramica Cleopatra will have 12 days of rest before the clash, giving the opponent a physical advantage. The club also pointed out that the scheduled kick-off at 2:30 PM does not consider player fatigue and may affect their health.
Additionally, Zamalek highlighted the unfair restriction on its fans from attending the match, emphasizing that the game should be rescheduled to ensure both player welfare and fan rights.
