Media personality Ahmed Shobeir commented on the ongoing crisis between Zamalek club and its star Ahmed Sayed Zizo, which flared up about a month ago after news spread that the player had signed with rival club Al Ahly.

Shobeir confirmed in radio statements that this crisis continues to evolve over time, pointing out that the issue was not limited to Zizo alone but also involved the ongoing conflict between the player and his club. Shobeir said: "The truth is, the crisis between Zizo and Zamalek is still ongoing. Zizo submitted a complaint to the Football Association, and Zamalek, in turn, filed a complaint with the Disciplinary Committee. Then, Zizo returned to training after a period of tension. Despite that, the club decided to impose a fine on the player amounting to 200,000 EGP." He added: "Now, we are witnessing a new chapter in this story, and thus the saga between the two sides continues."

Shobeir noted that this crisis had reached a point where things could become more serious in the near future. He said: "This issue has become a continuous spectacle, especially with the deadline approaching in about a month, where the situation will become clear once and for all. The truth is that the issue has started to annoy the public, and some may feel frustrated or bored by the repetitive events without reaching a definitive solution." He clarified that such issues might become a normal part of sports life over time: "In the end, it will become almost ordinary after several years, and everyone will get used to player transfers without the exaggerations we witness now."

Shobeir continued, saying: "We live in a time characterized by fanaticism between the major clubs in Egypt, which is somewhat natural in any country with long-standing competitive clubs and massive fanbases. However, at the same time, this fanaticism should not reach a point where it causes major problems and negatively affects the course of sports events." He added that this situation puts Egyptian football in complex positions, where neither the public nor the media can ignore such ongoing issues, but at the same time, there is a need to develop sports culture and handle transfers more professionally.

Shobeir also emphasized that professionalism in Egypt is still in its early stages, and as time goes on, many concepts about player transfers and handling crises between clubs will change. He added: "I believe that over the years, we will learn how to practice true professionalism, and such disputes will have less impact on Egyptian football." He continued: "In the end, what we are witnessing today is a natural result of the current transfer period, but with professionalism and more experience, we will see calmer and more balanced handling by clubs towards their players."

Regarding Zamalek's first-team football match today against Bank Al Ahly, which will take place at Cairo International Stadium as part of the fourth round of the final phase of the Egyptian Premier League, Shobeir confirmed that the team must focus fully, as this match is a decisive opportunity to earn three points that could be crucial in the league race this season. He added: "Zamalek needs to win this match to maintain its hopes of competing for the league title and avoid any setbacks that could put it in a difficult position in the upcoming stages of the competition."

Shobeir also pointed out that Zamalek needs to perform strongly in this match, especially given the pressures the team is under due to the ongoing crises, including the Zizo issue and other internal matters affecting the team's stability. He concluded: "The fans hope the team returns to its usual level and secures victories without being affected by any internal tensions that might impact it."
