ENPPI Club is considered one of the modern clubs in Egyptian football. Despite its relatively recent establishment, it quickly asserted itself on the scene, winning domestic titles and competing with the top teams, earning the nickname "The Dark Horse" of the Egyptian Premier League for many years.

The Beginning and Foundation

ENPPI Sporting Club was founded in 1980 as one of the clubs affiliated with the Engineering for the Petroleum and Process Industries (ENPPI) company. Initially, the goal was to provide a sporting environment for the company’s employees. The club quickly entered official competitions and rocketed to the Premier League in 2002.

Despite its youth, ENPPI rapidly became a tough competitor in Egyptian football thanks to strong administrative organization, coaching stability, and policies focusing on recruiting young talents.

Egypt Cup: 🏆 1 title (2004–2005) – won against Zamalek in the final

Egyptian Super Cup: 🥈 Runner-up (2005)

Best league finish: 2nd place (2004–2005) – a historic season

Continental Competitions

Participated multiple times in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup

Highlights include reaching the Round of 16 in the 2006 Champions League and notable appearances in the Confederation Cup

ENPPI was among the first “non-fan-based” clubs to raise the name of Egyptian football in continental tournaments. It delivered strong performances against clubs from North and Central Africa and is one of the most stable corporate teams internationally.

Petro Sport Stadium: The club’s main stadium located in the Fifth Settlement – New Cairo, with a capacity of about 17,000 spectators. It is sometimes used for other teams’ matches.

Social and Sporting Club: Provides various services for petroleum sector employees and their families, including multiple sports fields and halls.
