First 10 Fully Egyptian Electric Cars Produced
Egypt takes a major step in local car manufacturing with the production of the first 10 fully Egyptian electric cars featuring up to 70% local components and affordable city mobility.
In a promising step toward local electric car manufacturing, "Motager" Company, in collaboration with the Academy of Scientific Research, has produced the first 10 fully Egyptian electric cars as a preliminary model, aiming to strengthen local production and reduce reliance on imported vehicles.
Multiple Models for All Needs
The new electric cars come in several models, including 4-seater, 6-seater, and small transport variants for city commuting. Some models are equipped with air conditioning to enhance passenger comfort.
Efficient Operation and Low Cost
These electric vehicles offer significantly lower operating costs compared to gasoline cars, with speeds ranging from 60 to 90 km/h and full electronic control capabilities.
100% Locally Produced Components
Core components such as the battery, chassis, motor, interior, and complementary parts are fully produced locally, while some components like the control panel are imported.
Expansion Plans and Large-Scale Production
The company aims to establish a dedicated factory for electric cars, with the official production line expected to start by the end of the second half of next year, enabling these cars to compete with foreign products.
