🎭 The 14th Edition of D-CAF Is Set to Begin
The management of the Downtown Contemporary Arts Festival “D-CAF” is preparing to launch the festival’s 14th edition, scheduled to run from October 11 to November 2, 2026, across a number of theaters and art spaces in Cairo and Alexandria.
The new edition continues the festival’s approach of presenting contemporary arts through a variety of venues, giving audiences the opportunity to experience different artistic forms beyond traditional performance spaces.
⭐ 10 Art Spaces to Host Festival Events
The 14th edition will feature 10 diverse art spaces, including theaters, modern exhibition halls, multifunctional venues and open-air locations.
The variety of venues reflects the nature of D-CAF, which presents contemporary artistic experiences across different spaces, allowing each event to interact with its surroundings while reaching a diverse audience.
The 2026 edition also continues the festival’s cooperation with Ismailia Real Estate Investment, which has been a supporting partner of D-CAF since the festival was first launched in 2012.
🎨 Villa Violet Hosts the First Festival Event
Villa Violet will host the first event of the 14th edition through “Natural Scenes,” an exhibition by Egyptian artist Nermin El Ansary.
The exhibition is being organized in cooperation with Mashrabia Contemporary Art Gallery, marking one of the artistic highlights accompanying the launch of the new festival edition.
“Natural Scenes” will remain on display at Violet until November 5, while the exhibition will continue at Mashrabia Contemporary Art Gallery until November 12, giving audiences an extended opportunity to experience the artist’s work.
