Lebanese artist Abeer Nehme has expressed her excitement about returning to the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts for the second consecutive year, describing the event as a unique artistic and cultural platform that celebrates Arab heritage while bringing together generations through music.

Speaking during a press conference held on the sidelines of the festival, Nehme said performing on the historic Jerash stage carries both artistic and cultural significance, adding that the Jordanian audience is known for its refined musical taste and deep appreciation of authentic art.

One of the biggest surprises she revealed is that her concert will include several songs performed in the Jordanian dialect, in addition to her best-known repertoire. She explained that singing in local dialects allows artists to connect more closely with audiences while honoring the cultural identity of each country.

Nehme also emphasized that music is much more than entertainment; it serves as a bridge between cultures, preserves collective memory, and strengthens cultural identity. According to her, artists have a responsibility to protect heritage while presenting it in a contemporary form that appeals to younger generations.

The Lebanese singer also announced that her upcoming album will feature songs in multiple Arabic dialects, reflecting her artistic vision of embracing the rich linguistic and musical diversity across the Arab world.

She praised the Jordanian audience, describing them as knowledgeable music lovers who inspire performers to deliver their very best on stage.

Concluding her remarks, Nehme highlighted the importance of the Jerash Festival in supporting Arab arts and culture over four decades, emphasizing that music remains one of the strongest tools for bringing people together and promoting mutual understanding across borders.
