Composer Adham Ayman Bahgat Kamar has opened up about the early days of his music career, describing his collaboration with Amr Diab on "Salam Kbeer" as a defining moment.
Speaking during his appearance on the television program "Al Soura", hosted by Lamis El Hadidy, Adham explained that his first meeting with Amr Diab took place during a Ramadan gathering organized by his father, renowned lyricist and screenwriter Ayman Bahgat Kamar.
During the event, Adham presented one of his original songs titled "Al Shakhs Al Ghalat", which caught Amr Diab's attention and introduced the superstar to his musical abilities.
Later, after writing "Salam Kbeer," Ayman Bahgat Kamar sent the song to Amr Diab, who eventually approved it for release, making it Adham's first official project to reach audiences.
Ayman Bahgat Kamar also recalled how he frequently followed up with producer Hany Mahrous and Amr Diab, eagerly waiting for the song's release. Adham humorously commented, "I started to get my hopes up in the end," reflecting the anticipation surrounding the project.
The collaboration became a major milestone in Adham's career, highlighting Amr Diab's long-standing reputation for encouraging emerging songwriters and composers while continuously introducing fresh talent to the Arab music industry.
