Through an official statement shared on Facebook, Shabana explained that the family contacted the visitor, who came from Kuwait, and confirmed that the photo was taken casually without any intention of disrespecting Abdel Halim Hafez or his family.
The visitor expressed his love and appreciation for the legendary singer and emphasized his respect for Egypt and its cultural icons.
Shabana explained that the main issue was not the visitor’s intention but rather the way the visit was handled, pointing out that the employee accompanying the visitor was responsible for the mistake.
Following the incident, the family decided to implement new measures to better organize future visits and protect the historical belongings inside Abdel Halim Hafez’s home.
He stressed that the house remains open to fans from Egypt, the Arab world, and beyond, but under direct supervision from the family.
