As the 57th Cairo International Book Fair approaches, attention turns to digital initiatives that enhance visitor experience, led by the “Al-Ma’rad” app, which is launching the largest digital database in the fair’s history 📱📚.

Developed in collaboration with the Egyptian General Book Authority, the app provides visitors with comprehensive and updated data on participating publishers and books, while offering additional services to help navigate the event at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center in New Cairo.

📌 Record numbers this year:

• Over 1,400 participating publishers

• More than 370,000 books in the database

• The largest digital database ever offered at the fair 🎯✨

Ahmed Abu Khalil, the initiative’s executive director, said the app aims to reach 200,000 downloads and nearly 2 million searches during the fair, based on last year’s figures that recorded half a million searches in just two weeks.

The app is designed for ease of use, requiring no registration and offering offline search within publishers, enabling quick and efficient access inside the fair 📲🔍.

It also includes complementary services such as:

• Seminar schedules and signing events

• Children’s activities

• Prices of restaurants and services inside the exhibition center 🍽️🎤

The app represents a pioneering Egyptian achievement in international book fair services, and last year it represented Egypt at the International Distributors Conference in Sharjah, invited to showcase the promotion of the Cairo Book Fair 🌍📣.

The “Al-Ma’rad” campaign continues its ninth season this year, focusing on engaging youth through short visual content and creative advertising, bringing the fair closer to new generations and increasing their participation in Egypt’s largest cultural event 🎬✨.
