🎤 Engineer and composer Amir Mahrous revealed behind-the-scenes details about Amr Diab’s latest album, highlighting the superstar’s dedication to perfection and continuous artistic development.
During his appearance on the program "El Setat Ma Yearefous YeKzebou" on CBC, Mahrous talked about his long professional journey with Amr Diab, describing working with him as a unique learning experience.
He explained that their collaboration began during the album "Mayal", where he worked as an assistant sound engineer before contributing to some of Diab’s biggest albums, including "Amarein", "Tamally Maak", and "Habiby Ya Nour El Ain".
Mahrous said that Amr Diab taught him the importance of reviewing every detail and never releasing a song before reaching the best possible version.
He revealed that the preparation for the latest album started in January and that Amr Diab recorded 37 complete songs before choosing only 12 tracks for the final release.
According to Mahrous, this process reflects Diab’s commitment to quality rather than quantity.
He added that Amr Diab listens to every song carefully before making decisions, trying to experience the music as the audience would.
