In a surprising yet seemingly well-considered move, YouTuber Ali Ghazlan announced his separation from TV presenter and former Miss Egypt Farah Shaaban, closing a chapter in their relationship that had seen more than one attempt to continue.

Ali Ghazlan wrote on his Instagram account:
“God’s will has been done… Farah and I are officially divorced.”

He added:

“Maybe we didn’t succeed as a couple, but God willing, we will succeed in being good parents to our son.”

He also said:
“I hope everyone respects our decision and doesn’t ask us for details, because we won’t speak about anything. We will continue to support each other for the sake of our son, Rahim.”

He concluded:
“This is very difficult for us. But God doesn’t do anything bad—everything happens for a reason. We hope what’s coming in our lives will be better for us, and please keep us in your prayers.”
