This Wednesday morning, the esteemed actor Lotfy Labib passed away at the age of 77 after a long battle with illness, leaving behind a tremendous artistic legacy and a career filled with success spanning decades. Actor Lotfy Labib was considered one of the most prominent artists who left a lasting mark on Egyptian and Arab drama, theater, and cinema. He was distinguished by his impeccable performances and roles that ranged from comedy to tragedy, making him beloved by generations of audiences.

A profound state of sadness swept through the artistic community as soon as the news of his death was announced. Many artists who had worked with him over the years mourned his passing. Actor Bayoumi Fouad was among the first to express his shock, writing heartfelt words on his official Facebook account: "To God we belong and to Him we shall return. The sweetest and the sharpest of minds, may you rest in peace, my dear. We will miss you once again, without being able to visit and see you. But surely, you remain among us through your body of work, the love, and the many memories we shared. Peace to your soul. Farewell, Professor Lotfy." These words reflected the deep affection the late actor held among his colleagues.
Regarding the final moments of his life, Father Botros Daniel, President of the Egyptian Catholic Center for Cinema, revealed that Lotfy Labib had been suffering from severe internal bleeding in recent days, which caused his health to deteriorate rapidly. He explained that he had been in constant contact with the actor's family, especially his daughters, who displayed great faith and acceptance of God’s will despite the painful loss. He affirmed that their words reflected deep inner contentment and great patience during this difficult ordeal.

Father Botros added that he was with actress Nihal Anbar yesterday evening at an artistic seminar, and during their return, they contacted the late actor's daughter to check on him. He explained that she thanked everyone who inquired about him and asked them to pray for him, fully aware of the critical condition he was in during his final hours.

Father Botros noted that Lotfy Labib's passing is a major loss to the Egyptian and Arab art scene, stressing that his distinctive works will remain immortal in the memory of generations. He said: "Lotfy Labib was a symbol of commitment, talent, and humanity, and it is difficult to find someone like him. We ask God to grant his family patience and comfort and to embrace him with His vast mercy, for He alone can console the broken hearts at such moments."

Lotfy Labib's departure does not mean the end of his presence. He left behind a legacy of works that will forever live in the hearts of the audience, from comedic roles that made millions laugh to heartfelt characters that touched souls. His body may have departed, but his spirit remains among those who loved him, and the art he presented will always stand as a testament to his immense talent and the value of his unforgettable artistic and human contributions.
