Tunisian star Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, midfielder for Hungary's Ferencváros, is set to undergo a medical examination in the coming days ahead of his official announcement as a new signing for Al Ahly. This transfer is considered one of the strongest reinforcements for the Red Devils ahead of their upcoming participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled for June.

After marathon negotiations, Al Ahly successfully finalized all the financial details of the deal, both with Ferencváros and the player, making Ben Romdhane on the brink of officially joining the club on a four-year contract.

Al Ahly sent Osama Helal, the club's Head of Scouting, to Budapest to manage the final stage of the negotiations after the club gave him the green light to finalize the deal in person with Ferencváros officials. With his extensive experience, Helal was able to secure the deal in Al Ahly’s favor by increasing the financial offer from $1.6 million to $1.8 million, which was accepted by Ferencváros officials, making the transfer nearly complete, with only the medical exam pending.

Ben Romdhane's transfer is one of the key signings aimed at securing Al Ahly's midfield with a player possessing strong technical skills and outstanding continental experience. He has excelled with his Hungarian team as well as with Tunisia's Esperance, making him a valuable addition to the Red Devils, both locally and internationally.

Ben Romdhane is known for his ability to play in multiple midfield positions, as well as his shooting and playmaking skills. He also boasts high fitness levels, making him one of the most attractive players to major clubs across Africa in recent times.

Al Ahly is expected to announce the deal once the player successfully passes the medical examination, after which he will be presented to the fans and the media as part of the club’s plan to reinforce their squad ahead of the Club World Cup. This tournament is one in which Al Ahly aims to achieve an unprecedented Arab and African achievement.

It’s worth mentioning that Ben Romdhane’s signing is part of Al Ahly's strategy to bolster the team with ready and talented players, especially given the intense local and African competition, as well as international tournaments. This aligns with the ambitions of head coach Marcel Koller, who approved the player’s signing after following him closely in recent months.

The signing of Ben Romdhane is also in line with Al Ahly's approach of acquiring top talents both within and outside the continent, as the club has previously signed outstanding players in recent years who have contributed to winning both local and continental titles. Al Ahly is determined to continue this strategy with the same vision.

According to informed sources, Al Ahly’s management plans to hold a press conference once the deal is officially announced. The conference will include the player’s introduction, details of the contract, and the plans for integrating him into the team’s system. This news has already sparked widespread excitement among fans on social media platforms, following the announcement of the deal's completion.

Al Ahly fans are eagerly awaiting the official announcement of Ben Romdhane’s signing, with a sense of excitement and optimism, especially since the player has a distinguished record in African tournaments and European leagues. He is expected to become a key player in the team’s lineup in the near future.
