However, she ultimately did not participate in the series. She also revealed that the recording process coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic while she was in Beirut.
According to Bousy, she completed the initial recording within three days, but the song required several additional recording sessions because some of its lyrics were changed.
She added that the song was released in 2020, at a time when she had been away from the music scene for some time. Mohamed Sami welcomed the idea of releasing it, particularly since he had originally come up with the phrase “Ana El Donia,” which later became the basis for the song.
