The current cinema season continues to deliver a strong daily box office race, with films competing across comedy, romance, drama, and biographical genres. Below is a detailed overview of yesterday’s box office revenues.


“Talakni” Tops the Box Office

“Talakni” ranked first, achieving revenues of EGP 1,559,072, confirming its strong audience appeal.

Directed by Khaled Marei, the film marks the second collaboration between Dina El Sherbiny and Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz. With numerous guest appearances and a light social-comedy tone, the film has resonated widely with audiences.


“El Set” Continues to Decline

The biographical drama “El Set” came in second with revenues of EGP 509,247.

Starring Mona Zaki, the film portrays the life of legendary singer Umm Kulthum, featuring a large ensemble cast including Karim Abdel Aziz, Asser Yassin, Amr Saad, Mohamed Farrag, and others. Despite strong initial buzz, its daily revenues showed a noticeable drop.


“Love in Our Imagination”

“Love in Our Imagination” earned EGP 372,786.

Starring Ahmed El Saadany and Mayan El Sayed, the film presents a romantic, emotionally driven story that maintains moderate box office performance.


“El Selm Wel Ta‘ban 2”

The sequel recorded revenues of EGP 339,085.

Starring Amr Youssef and Asmaa Galal, the film introduces a modern love story, supported by a strong ensemble cast including Dhafer El Abidine and Maged El Masry.


“New Year’s Map”

“New Year’s Map” achieved EGP 262,202.

The film stars Riham Abdel Ghafour, Mohamed Mamdouh, Asmaa Abulyazid, and Asser Yassin, delivering a socially driven dramatic narrative.


“El Sadat El Afadel”

The film earned EGP 205,450.

Set in an Egyptian village, the story explores family secrets revealed after the father’s death, involving illegal antiquities trade. The cast includes Mohamed Mamdouh, Bayoumi Fouad, and Ashraf Abdel Baky, directed by Karim El Shenawy.


“Fihha Eh Ya‘ni?!”

The romantic comedy collected EGP 20,921.

Starring Magdy El Kadywany and Ghada Adel, the film emphasizes that love can happen at any age.


“Oscar – The Mammoth Returns”

The family adventure film earned EGP 13,465.

Starring Ahmed Salah Hosny and Henady Mehanna, it blends comedy with fantasy elements.

The film ranked last with EGP 7,425.
