The current cinema season is witnessing intense competition among several films, as audiences flock to theaters and box office revenues continue to rise. “When the Cat’s Away” has claimed the top spot in daily earnings, outperforming several high-profile releases.
When the Cat’s Away
The film topped the box office with revenues reaching EGP 3,097,264.
Starring Asser Yassin, Carmen Bsaibes, and Asmaa Galal, the film is written by Ayman Watar and directed by Sara Nouh in her feature-length debut, blending drama and suspense in a unique narrative.
Divorce Me
“Divorce Me” secured second place with revenues of EGP 1,780,348.
Directed by Khaled Marei, the film features multiple guest appearances and marks the second collaboration between Dina El Sherbiny and Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz.
The Atheist
The controversial film “The Atheist” earned EGP 879,728.
It stars Ahmed Hatem, Mahmoud Hemida, Hussein Fahmy, and Sabreen, written by Ibrahim Eissa and directed by Mandou El Adl.
El Set
“El Set,” starring Menna Shalaby, generated EGP 431,621 in revenue.
The film portrays the life of legendary singer Umm Kulthum, featuring a large ensemble cast including Karim Abdel Aziz and Asser Yassin.
Love in Imagination
“Love in Imagination,” starring Ahmed El Sakka and Mayan El Sayed, earned EGP 388,196.

The sequel “El Selm Wel Taaban 2” recorded revenues of EGP 378,377, starring Amr Youssef and Asmaa Galal, alongside Dhafer El Abidine and Maged El Masry.
