The Higher Advisory Committee of the Cairo International Book Fair and the Supreme Committee for Organizing Cultural and Artistic Festivals and Celebrations are scheduled to hold meetings on Sunday at the Supreme Council of Culture.
The meetings will be chaired by Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture.

Among its members are Dr. Amr El-Lethy as committee rapporteur, Dr. Ali El-Din Helal, engineer Ibrahim El-Moallem, Dr. Hesham Azmy, writer Mohamed Salmawy, poet Bahaa Jaheen, writer Omar Taher, and director Hesham Atwa, along with specialists in publishing and cultural affairs.
Cultural and Artistic Festival Plans
The Supreme Committee for Organizing Cultural and Artistic Festivals and Celebrations will also discuss several files concerning upcoming festivals and cultural events.
The discussions will cover coordination mechanisms between the Ministry of Culture’s sectors and relevant bodies, as well as preparations for cultural and artistic activities scheduled for the coming period.
The agenda will also include plans to revive some festivals that had previously been suspended.
