Cairo International Short Film Festival Announces Dates for Its Eighth Edition

The Cairo International Short Film Festival has officially announced that its eighth edition will take place from December 13 to 18, 2026, featuring a comprehensive program of film screenings, industry workshops, networking events, and cultural activities.

The Cairo International Short Film Festival (CISFF) has announced that its eighth edition will be held from December 13 to 18, 2026, continuing its mission of supporting emerging filmmakers and showcasing outstanding short films from Egypt and around the world.

Festival President Waheed Sobhy revealed that preparations began early to deliver a richer cinematic experience, including the Cairo Film Platform, Live Talks, and a series of specialized workshops designed to help young filmmakers develop their creative and technical skills.

Sobhy emphasized that the festival aims to create an inspiring environment where filmmakers can exchange ideas, build professional networks, and explore new opportunities within the global film industry.

Festival Director Ahmed El-Nabawy highlighted the event's steady growth over previous editions, noting that the festival has successfully presented award-winning Arab and international short films while attracting increasing public interest each year.

The upcoming edition will feature official competitions, curated screenings, educational workshops, professional networking sessions, and discussions that strengthen collaboration between filmmakers and audiences.

Through its expanding activities, the festival continues to position Cairo as a leading regional destination for short filmmaking and an important platform for discovering emerging cinematic talent.
