Egypt’s Ministry of Culture will celebrate the graduation of the third class of the “Ebda’a Holmak” (Start Your Dream) project in Ismailia on Tuesday, August 18.

The event is part of the ministry’s programs aimed at discovering and developing theatrical talent across Egypt’s regions, while providing young people with specialized training in different areas of theater.

Date and Venue of the Ebda’a Holmak Graduation Ceremony

The General Authority for Cultural Palaces will organize the graduation ceremony at 9 p.m. at the Ismailia Culture Palace Theater.

The event will be held under the patronage of Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, and Nabil Hasballah, Governor of Ismailia.

The ceremony is also expected to be attended by a number of cultural and artistic figures.

“Gari Tahmil El Helm” Theatrical Performance

The graduation ceremony will feature the theatrical production “Gari Tahmil El Helm” (Loading the Dream), which represents the outcome of the participants’ training and workshops during the project’s third phase.

The production was written by Ahmed El-Melwany, with lighting by Mohamed Salem, set design by Amr El-Ashraf, styling by Marwa Aoda, choreography by Monadel Antar, and musical preparation by Islam Ali.

Mohamed Gaber is responsible for the concept and direction of the performance.

Ebda’a Holmak: Discovering Young Theater Talent

The Ebda’a Holmak project is one of the initiatives launched by the General Authority for Cultural Palaces to discover young talent across different Egyptian governorates.

The project focuses on training and developing participants in various theatrical disciplines, with the goal of preparing a well-rounded actor capable of strengthening and expanding their artistic skills.

Training Programs for the Third Class

The third phase of the project was launched in coordination with the Canal and Sinai Cultural Region and the Ismailia Culture Branch, under the artistic supervision of director Ahmed Taha.

The training program included specialized workshops covering several theatrical disciplines.

Participants received acting training under director Mohamed Gaber, drama training with Dr. Lamia Anwar, and music training with composer Ahmed Hamdy Raouf.

The program also included dance and physical expression training with artist Monadel Antar, as well as set design and costume training with Dr. Amr El-Ashraf.

Ebda’a Holmak Project Expands Across Egypt

The third phase follows the success of previous stages of the project, which reached several Egyptian governorates.

The first phase included Fayoum, Assiut and Sharqia, while the second phase covered Port Said, Beni Suef, Giza, Kafr El Sheikh and New Valley.

Through its various stages, the project aims to reach a wider number of talented young people and provide them with opportunities to receive professional theatrical training.

Ebda’a Holmak to Expand Into Egyptian Universities

The project is also expected to expand in the coming period to reach a number of Egyptian universities.

The expansion aims to discover more young talents, provide students and aspiring artists with access to theatrical training, and support the growth of cultural and artistic activities across Egypt.

The initiative reflects an ongoing effort to invest in young talent and create artistic spaces where emerging performers can develop their abilities through practical theatrical experiences.
