Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Egypt’s Minister of Culture, held an official meeting with Ambassador Jassim bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Cairo, in his first visit since assuming office, attended by Maryam Al Shaibi, Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Ambassador 🤝✨.

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cultural cooperation, highlighting opportunities to expand joint programs across literature, arts, and creative industries, building on the solid foundation established in recent years 📚🎨.

Both sides also discussed preparations for the Egyptian–Qatari Cultural Year, with particular emphasis on Qatar’s role as Guest of Honor at the Cairo International Book Fair 2027, an occasion expected to showcase Qatar’s rich cultural and intellectual landscape 📖🌟.

Dr. Hano emphasized that cultural relations between Egypt and Qatar play a vital role in fostering people-to-people connections, affirming the Ministry’s commitment to launching joint initiatives that reflect shared heritage and promote cultural dialogue across the Arab world 🕊️🎶.
