Egyptian cinemas witnessed a noticeable slowdown in audience turnout, with total box office revenues reaching 1.7 million EGP yesterday, reflecting a decline compared to the previous week.

Audience Turnout Drops

The total number of attendees reached around 11,000 viewers, marking a nearly 30% decrease, indicating reduced cinema activity.

“Barshama” Maintains the Lead

Despite a drop in revenue, Barshama held its top position, earning 1.1 million EGP and maintaining a strong lead over competing films.

Competition for the Next Spots

Egy Best secured second place with 277K EGP, followed by Serial Killer of Tagamoa with 241K EGP, showing moderate competition.

Weak Performance for Others

Family Business recorded 91K EGP with declining interest, while Death Notice ranked last with just 6K EGP, marking the biggest drop among current releases.

These figures reflect a relatively quiet period in cinemas, with expectations rising for new releases to boost audience engagement soon.
