Enchanting Ramadan Night at Rod Al-Farag: Religious Hymns, Traditional Crafts & Kids’ Activities
Rod Al-Farag Cultural Palace celebrated Ramadan with vibrant cultural and artistic events, including religious chants, the Hilali epic, traditional craft workshops, and creative activities for children.
✨ Rod Al-Farag Cultural Palace continued its unique Ramadan nights cultural and artistic program, under the supervision of the General Authority of Cultural Palaces, led by Major General Khaled El-Laban 🌟, offering the public a spiritual and heritage-filled experience.
🎶 Religious Hymns & Sufi Poetry
The pre-final day began with a stunning performance by Tami Al-Amid Religious Choir, led by singer Adel El-Feki, attended by distinguished artists and officials. The group presented a collection of hymns, religious praises, and Sufi poems like: “Imdah Al-Mokamel, Al-Subh Bada Men Tala'to, Min Rah Al-Hob, Al-Misk Fah…” ❤️, creating a special spiritual atmosphere that engaged the audience deeply.
🛡️ Hilali Epic & Folk Heroism
The audience also enjoyed segments from the Hilali Epic performed by the Zenaty Sohagi troupe, showcasing the tales of Bani Hilal and the folk heroism passed down through generations, offering a rich cultural experience blending popular drama and cultural identity ✨.
🎨 Traditional Crafts Workshops
Workshops allowed attendees to explore traditional crafts including carpets, kilim, arkhet, ceramics, pottery, khayamiya, jewelry making, palm weaving, embroidery, metallic crafts, and leatherwork 🧵.
Artists introduced the history and techniques of these crafts in preparation for the concluding art exhibition 🌟.
🖌️ Creative Activities for Kids
The General Administration for Children’s Culture organized workshops for children including paper crafts, Ramadan-themed murals, stencil printing, face painting, and freehand drawing 🎨, bringing joy and excitement to young participants.
🌟 These events are part of the Ministry of Culture’s plan to promote arts and cultural activities, with over 679 major cultural and artistic events across Cairo and governorates during Ramadan 💫, enriching the cultural life of all community segments.
