The Beirut Criminal Court postponed the trial of Lebanese singer Fadl Shaker and others in the attempted assassination case of Saida Resistance official Hilal Hammoud to February 12, following a two-and-a-half-hour session where Shaker was questioned on four security files with previous sentences ranging from 5 to 15 years.
The session was held in secrecy at the request of Shaker and his lawyer, with only assigned lawyers allowed to attend. Witness statements, including those of Ahmed Al-Asir, will be heard in upcoming sessions.
Shaker surrendered to the Lebanese Army intelligence on October 4, 2025, and underwent a preliminary interrogation on October 22 regarding the 2013 Abra events.
Shaker’s family refuted rumors about his health, confirming he is fine and continues to strengthen their determination to pursue justice through legal channels.
The Lebanese Army stated that Shaker surrendered at the entrance of Ain al-Hilweh camp in Saida, and that investigations commenced under the supervision of the competent judiciary 📄🇱🇧
