Actor Fady Khafaga extended his sincere thanks to Dr. Ashraf Zaki, Head of the Actors Syndicate, after his efforts helped resolve the dispute between Khafaga and actor Magdy Kamel, which had escalated into a legal case in recent weeks.

In a public message, Khafaga praised Zaki’s role in facilitating reconciliation, emphasizing his appreciation for the Syndicate’s intervention and support in bringing the matter to a peaceful conclusion.

In the same context, Khafaga issued a formal apology to actress Maha Ahmed and her husband Magdy Kamel following his release on bail. In a video message, he openly admitted his mistake, describing the incident as a moment of poor judgment and lack of awareness.

Khafaga acknowledged full responsibility for his actions, stressing that he regrets what happened and has since distanced himself from negative behavior, aiming to move forward with a renewed sense of accountability.

The Court of Appeal has scheduled a session on January 20 to review Khafaga’s appeal against a six-month prison sentence on charges of insult and defamation against Magdy Kamel, with a bail set at 20,000 EGP.

The case originated from accusations that Khafaga insulted Magdy Kamel during live broadcasts on TikTok, a platform where Khafaga has been increasingly active in recent years after stepping back from acting.

During this period, he participated in multiple live TikTok battles with creators from Egypt and abroad, which sparked controversy and became his primary source of income.

Artistically, Khafaga’s most recent appearance was in 2024 with a minor role in the series “Rosa & Laila”, starring Yousra and Nelly Karim. He also appeared earlier in “Had Fasil” in 2023.

Additionally, he portrayed the character “Alaa” in the Gulf drama series “Had Fasil”, featuring prominent Gulf actors—an experience that added to his artistic portfolio despite his recent focus on digital content.
