In their first TV appearance after tying the knot, Egyptian stars Hesham Gamal and Laila Ahmed Zaher shared the behind-the-scenes details of their love story and wedding celebration, emphasizing simplicity, happiness, and genuine connection.
In their first public interview as a married couple, Hesham Gamal and Laila Ahmed Zaher appeared on “Sahebat Al Saada”, hosted by Esaad Younes on DMC, where they opened up about their wedding and life together after marriage.
Hesham revealed that the main goal while planning the wedding was to focus on Laila’s happiness rather than luxury or showiness.
“All I cared about was that Laila was happy,” he said, adding that she only had one request — that the katb el-ketab (official ceremony) be held on a separate day from the wedding party.

The wedding, held in Sakkara last April, was attended by a wide array of Egyptian celebrities, including Elham Shaheen, Mohamed Sami, Mai Omar, Ahmed Saad, Laila Elwi, Mostafa Shaaban, Ahmed Rezk, and Wafaa Amer.
Despite the notable guest list, the event was described as elegant and heartfelt rather than extravagant.

Recently, Hesham Gamal attended the private screening of “Weld Bent Shayeb” to support his wife Laila, who plays the lead role alongside Ashraf Abdel Baky, Fady El Sayed, Alaa Arafa, Hazem Samir, Yasser Ezzat, and Marwan El Moslemany. The series is directed by Zeina Ashraf Abdel Baky in her directorial debut.
Laila’s family — her father Ahmed Zaher, mother Hoda, and sisters Malak and Mona Zaher — also attended to celebrate her new project, highlighting the strong bond and support within the family.
Hesham concluded the interview by saying that mutual respect, understanding, and friendship are the foundation of their relationship and the secret behind their harmony both on and off screen
