Festival singer Hamo Bika expressed strong support for his friend and colleague Hassan Shakosh, following a wave of criticism directed at Shakosh on social media due to the decline in his vocal performance during one of the concerts.
Bika’s message: Manliness is more than just the voice
In a post on his official Facebook page, Hamo Bika emphasized that manliness is not only about the voice but also about attitude, effort, patience, and hard work to reach the top.
He said:
"A true singer sings from his heart, even if his voice is tired or struggling, and he is the one who brings joy to his audience despite all circumstances."
He continued:
"Those who criticize from behind their screens cannot stand in his place for even a minute. I’m with you, Shakosh, until the end."
Shakosh explains the reason for his weakened voice
Hassan Shakosh responded via his Instagram account, explaining the reasons behind the viral video that showed his weak voice while performing a song at his brother Nour El Tout’s wedding.
Shakosh said:
"I don’t like to show my fatigue or explain my health condition, but I had to sing despite suffering from vocal cord fatigue."
He added:
"When a person catches a cold, it becomes difficult to talk or sing normally, and that’s what happened to me. The circulated videos and people’s criticism are normal, and I respect that."
