Hany Ramzy Reveals: "Ghabi Menno" Part Two Fulfills Fans’ Demand… Hassan Hosny Cannot Be Replaced
Egyptian actor Hany Ramzy revealed new details about the upcoming sequel to “Ghaby Menno Feh,” emphasizing that it will feature completely new events and that the late Hassan Hosny’s role is irreplaceable.
Actor Hany Ramzy confirmed that work is underway on the second installment of his hit film Ghaby Menno Feh, stating that the sequel has long been a strong demand from the audience, and that he is committed to delivering it as long as he remains creatively capable.
Speaking in recent statements, Ramzy explained that the new part will present entirely fresh events, with no repetition of the original characters, as he believes this is the only way to ensure quality and avoid comparisons with the beloved 2004 film.
He emphasized that no one can ever replace the iconic presence of the late Hassan Hosny, whose role was a key part of the film’s success.
Ramzy also noted his dedication to creating a sequel that respects the fans of the original work, by further developing the character of Sultan and adding new dramatic elements that keep the story engaging for today’s viewers.
Earlier, during his honoring ceremony at the Sharm El-Sheikh International Youth Theatre Festival, Ramzy revealed that he is currently working on the script and hopes the sequel will resonate with audiences just as the first part did.
He also spoke about his famous role “Abu El Arabi,” describing it as one of his most challenging characters, and admitted that it took him a long time to detach from it.
The first Ghaby Menno Feh film, released in 2004, became a major success. It followed the story of Sultan whose attempts to marry Samia drag him into a series of comedic troubles after becoming involved with Dabsh, who exploits him in petty crimes.
The film starred Hany Ramzy, Hassan Hosny, Nelly Karim, Saeed Tarabik, and Sami Maghawry, written by Ahmed Abdullah and directed by Rami Imam.
