The tenth evening at the Hippodrome Stage delivered a rich cultural experience, bringing together performers from Russia and Jordan in a celebration of music, dance, and heritage.
Russian ensemble Tsveten opened the night with colorful traditional costumes, folk songs, and synchronized choreography inspired by Russia's rich cultural legacy. Their energetic performance showcased the beauty of Eastern European folklore and received warm applause from festival visitors.
The spotlight then shifted to Jordan's Majdal Folk Arts Group, which presented a contemporary interpretation of the traditional Jordanian Dabke. Featuring more than twenty performers, the troupe combined authentic heritage with modern stage techniques, creating visually impressive performances that reflected the creativity of Jordan's younger generation.
Founded in 2019 near Amman, Majdal has quickly become one of Jordan's leading independent performing arts groups, representing the country in regional and international cultural events while preserving Levantine folk traditions through innovative artistic presentations.
The Hippodrome itself represents one of the biggest additions to the 40th Jerash Festival, transforming a historic Roman venue into a modern cultural stage capable of hosting international performances and thousands of spectators, reinforcing the festival's role as a meeting point for global cultures.
