Under the dazzling lights of the El Gouna Film Festival, Emirati singer Balqees Fathi made a breathtaking entrance during the opening ceremony of the festival’s 8th edition.
Wearing a gold off-shoulder gown, Balqees exuded glamour and sophistication. Her short, wavy hairstyle and soft makeup enhanced her natural beauty, making her one of the most photographed stars of the night.
Balqees is also set to perform a special concert alongside Egyptian star Mahmoud El Esseily, promising an unforgettable evening filled with music and celebration in honor of cinema and art.
This year’s edition of El Gouna Film Festival honors several remarkable figures, including Mona Shalaby, who will receive the Creative Achievement Award for her outstanding career, and international star Cate Blanchett, who will be recognized as a Hero of Humanity for her artistic and humanitarian contributions.
The festival showcases around 70 films from across the globe, featuring feature-length dramas, documentaries, and short films. Egyptian cinema is prominently represented this year with five films competing in various categories, alongside the opening film Happy Birthday and the special screening of El Sadat El Afadel on October 22.
