Actress Jamila Aziz has opened up about her health condition following an unexpected injury to her left eye. She explained that it started with mild fatigue, which she initially brushed off. However, as the pain persisted, she decided to undergo a thorough medical examination—only to be shocked by a diagnosis of a retinal tear.

In a recent statement, Jamila announced that she is scheduled to undergo delicate eye surgery on Saturday morning. Doctors advised immediate intervention due to the sensitive location of the injury and the potential for serious complications if left untreated.
“I thought it was just exhaustion, but the check-up results were shocking… It turned out to be much more serious than I imagined,” she said.

Jamila mentioned that her medical team considered a possible link to diabetes, prompting her to run a full panel of tests. Fortunately, the results came back clear.
“The doctors said they had to make sure I didn’t have diabetes. I did all the necessary tests, and thankfully, everything came out fine,” she added.

The actress emphasized her commitment to following all medical instructions post-surgery. These include complete rest, avoiding bending, and no pressure on the eye. She also noted that she would be unable to perform full prostration in prayer for a month and would pray while seated.
“The doctor told me I won’t be able to do sujood after the operation, so I’ll be praying while sitting. I’ll follow everything he says. The most important thing now is for the surgery to go smoothly.”
