French star Juliette Binoche ✨ spoke at the Red Sea International Film Festival about her directorial debut in the documentary In-I in Motion, showcasing her artistic collaboration with British dancer Akram Khan 💃.

Binoche explained that the biggest challenge was editing and selecting the scenes for audiences, emphasizing natural lighting and a unique narrative approach to make viewers feel as if they are peering through a small window into the story 🌟.

Born into an artistic family—her father a sculptor and her mother an actress and literature professor—Binoche received her first acting lessons from her mother, igniting a lifelong passion for theater and the arts 🎭.

She made her screen debut in Liberty Belle (1983) and worked with renowned directors such as Jean-Luc Godard, Jacques Doillon, and André Téchiné. She won the Romy Schneider Award in 1986, becoming a promising figure in French cinema 🇫🇷.

In 1997, she entered cinematic history, receiving the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for The English Patient, becoming the second French actress to achieve this honor 🌐.

Her artistic talent extends beyond acting to painting and contemporary dance, touring globally in 2008 with British-Bangladeshi choreographer Akram Khan 💫.
