Director Karim El Shenawy appeared as a guest on the show “Dheefi” with host Moataz El Damerdash, where he unveiled new secrets about his artistic journey and the series “Lam Shamsiya,” which aired last Ramadan.

“Lam Shamsiya” Is Not the Most Watched

El Shenawy said, “The series Lam Shamsiya is not the most watched, and I don’t care about being the most watched. Mr. Mohamed Sami is better than me when it comes to ratings, and he can’t do what I do.”

A Radical Change in the Cast

He revealed that the original cast lineup in 2022 was completely different. Mona Zaki was supposed to play the role of Amina Khalil’s character, and Iyad Nassar, Ahmed Rizk, and Esaad Younis were also planned to participate, but production circumstances changed everything.

Fatherhood Changed My Thinking

About his personal life, he said, “After becoming a father, I took on greater responsibility. I don’t agree with the phrase ‘If he hits you, hit him back,’ but rather I prefer to teach my son to speak up and protect his rights without violence.”
