In an emotional tribute panel held last night during the festival, legendary actress Lebleba honoured renowned director Mohamed Abdel Aziz and remembered their longstanding creative partnership. She described him as “one of the rare directors who knows how to treat an actor and extract their finest performance.” With a warm smile, she recalled: “He knew how to transform set‑life into moments brimming with passion and life.”
The moment reached its peak when Lebleba performed a short musical excerpt from one of their films together, eliciting warm applause and nostalgia from the audience of critics, filmmakers and fellow artists.
Festival attendees highlighted that the session was more than a tribute—it was a bridge connecting cinematic golden‑age mastery with today’s creative vision.
By hosting such a talk, the Cairo International Film Festival reaffirmed its role as a platform that honours icons and reminds us that true art remains etched in the heart long after the credits roll.
