After a marriage that lasted more than 25 years, actor Ahmed El-Saqa officially announced his separation from media personality Maha Al-Soghayar via a post on his official Facebook page. He confirmed that the divorce had taken place two months prior, while the separation had occurred six months earlier.
El-Saqa added that he is currently living with his children and close friends, praising Maha’s grace in not announcing the divorce early and wishing her all the best in her future life.
Maha Al-Soghayar’s response: patience and faith
Maha chose to respond calmly and wisely through her Instagram account, posting a Quranic verse from Surah Yunus:
"And be patient until Allah will judge. And He is the best of judges."
Many considered this a reflection of her patience and acceptance of God’s decree.

The relationship between Ahmed El-Saqa and Maha Al-Soghayar witnessed many difficult moments, including Maha’s rare autoimmune disease diagnosis in 2010, during which El-Saqa was a strong supporter.
