Mahmoud Saad: Slow Quran Reading Changes Life… and “Second Marriage” Needs Transparency
In a new video, media personality Mahmoud Saad reveals how slowing down while reading the Quran brings deeper understanding and inner peace, while also sparking controversy by stating that a second marriage is allowed only if the first wife is fully informed and agrees.
Amid the pressures of daily life, media figure Mahmoud Saad recently appeared in a short video on Facebook to share a personal experience filled with meaningful lessons.
Saad explained that he used to read the Quran quickly just to finish it, but when he started reading slowly and thoughtfully, he discovered a “sea of ideas” 🌊✨.
🔹 Slow Reading… A Key to Deeper Understanding
He stated that slowing down gave him a sense of psychological comfort and true happiness, not only related to spiritual reward but to genuinely understanding the meanings.
For him, the Quran is no longer just a text to be read—it has become an experience that reshapes thinking and brings inner peace.
🧠 “How Did I Reach Here?”
Saad also touched on self-reflection, saying he sometimes pauses to consider his life path and asks:
“How did I reach this position? Whether great or simple…”
According to him, this reflection restores balance and helps one rethink their true values and goals.
⚡️ The Controversial Part: “Second Marriage”
In another context, Saad sparked widespread debate after discussing second marriage, affirming that it is religiously permissible, but with one essential condition:
✔️ The marriage must be known to the first wife and fully agreed upon
✔️ Rights must be mutual
✔️ There must be clarity, not deception or secrecy
Saad clearly stated:
“There is no second marriage without the wife knowing… I do not believe in it at all.”
💥 His Different Standpoint: “Mutual Rights”
He confirmed that a man who wants to marry again has the right, but the wife should also have the right to make a similar decision.
He said:
“Just as the man has the right to tell his wife he cannot stand her and wants to marry again… she also has the right to say the same.”
