During a conversation at the Red Sea International Film Festival, actress Mai Omar spoke about her husband, director Mohamed Sami, and his decision to retire from drama directing, which he later reconsidered after a few months.

Mai Omar said:
"Mohamed has been working tirelessly for years. He worked on two 30-episode series last Ramadan, Esh Esh and Sayyed Al Nas, and I felt he wouldn’t stick with his decision to take a break because he has so much energy and talent" 💫🎬.

She also shared her passion for collaborating with her husband:
