Mansoura International Children's Film Festival Reveals 90 Films in Its First Edition

Mansoura is set to host the first edition of the International Children’s Film Festival from February 9-14, featuring three main competitions and a special panorama, showcasing over 90 films from Arab and international filmmakers

Official Competitions

The festival includes three official competitions:
1️⃣ International Competition – 25 short films and documentaries from around the world, including:

  • Palestine: The Deer Age, Ten Small Minutes, One Two Three

  • Egypt: Zeinab, Under Exposure, Disconnected, New Bedouins, The Player, Post-Sleep Lullaby, Soul, Girls’ Dreams, 8 Candles, Bird Trap

  • Other countries: Tunisia, Morocco, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, India, Jordan, China, Turkey

2️⃣ Animation Competition – 25 films from France, Russia, UAE, Finland, India, Ukraine, Poland, Japan, and Egypt, featuring fun and inspirational stories for children, such as:

  • Tiger and Fox: Animals grieve their loss too (France)

  • Orange Tree (Russia)

  • Children of Barzagh (UAE)

  • Pappuvinte Paalappu (India)

  • Taif, My Neighbor, The Bitter Orange (Egypt)

3️⃣ Local Competition – 22 Egyptian films including:

  • Civilization and Culture

  • I’m Not Different

  • Confrontation

  • Save Our Land

  • The Last Message

  • The Farm
    These films address social, environmental, and cultural topics ✨👦👧


Panorama Section

The panorama showcases 18 short and documentary films from Egypt, Arab, and international countries, such as:

  • Islands of Palestine (France/Jordan) – a Palestinian girl’s story to make her blind grandfather happy

  • The Zoo (Jordan/Germany) – a friendship between a child and a young tiger amid war debris

  • The Pyramid (Egypt) – an old Egyptian building an inverted pyramid

  • Animated films like He and She (Egypt) and Made with Precision (Australia)

The films address topics like refugees, resilience, environmental protection, and cooperation 🌿🌏❤️
